Where can I check the result or status of a West Bengal tender I've bid on?

Tender results, including technical bid evaluation and financial bid opening, are published on WBTenders against the original tender or NIT number.

What's the difference between manual and e-tenders in West Bengal?

Manual tenders require physical submission of bid documents to the issuing office, while e-tenders are submitted entirely online through WBTenders using a registered Digital Signature Certificate — most departments have shifted to e-tendering.

Can AI tell me whether I should bid on a West Bengal tender or skip it?

Yes — Bidzen's AI Go/No-Go Decision scores a tender against your eligibility, past win history, and the resources required, with every input clause-cited back to the source document.

How can I check if I'm eligible for a specific West Bengal tender before bidding?

Match your department registration class, category, and financial turnover against the tender's published eligibility criteria, or run the document through Bidzen's AI Eligibility Check for an instant, clause-cited compliance match.

Do Zilla Parishad and Gram Panchayat tenders appear on WBTenders too?

Yes — most Zilla Parishad and Gram Panchayat tenders in West Bengal are published on WBTenders under the Rural Development or Panchayat department codes, alongside state and municipal tenders.

West Bengal Government Tenders: WBTenders Portal Search & Eligibility Guide

West Bengal government tenders are published on WBTenders (wbtenders.gov.in), the state's official e-procurement portal, alongside department-specific listings from PWD, PHE (Public Health Engineering), Zilla Parishads, Kolkata Municipal Corporation, and WBSEDCL. Every tender Bidzen surfaces is pre-analyzed for eligibility, risk, and go/no-go fit — cited back to the exact clause it came from.

Not sure you qualify for a West Bengal tender you're evaluating? Bidzen's AI Eligibility Check confirms in seconds — every match cited back to the exact clause in the tender document.

How West Bengal Tenders Work

WBTenders is the state's central e-tendering system, but PWD, PHE, Zilla Parishads, municipal corporations, and WBSEDCL also publish tenders through the same portal under their own department codes. Central tenders located in West Bengal — such as CPWD or Railway works (West Bengal has significant IREPS/railway tender volume) — run through separate central systems, not WBTenders, which is worth knowing before you search the wrong portal for a tender you've seen referenced elsewhere.

MSME (Udyam) Preference in West Bengal Tenders

Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) with valid Udyam registration are exempt from paying EMD on most West Bengal government tenders under GFR Rule 170 and the Public Procurement Policy for MSEs, 2012. Departments must also source at least 25% of annual procurement from MSEs, with sub-targets of 4% for SC/ST-owned and 3% for women-owned enterprises. The Udyam certificate must be submitted with the technical bid — the exemption is never applied automatically.
