How Gujarat Tenders Work

Note: Unlike most states, Gujarat's portal is branded by its technology vendor rather than the state name — "nProcure" is Gujarat's official e-procurement system, run by (n)Code Solutions, and the same underlying platform provider also services several other state governments under separate portal instances. Searching "nprocure" for Gujarat tenders specifically means using the Gujarat instance of the platform, not a generic multi-state search.

nProcure is Gujarat's adopted e-procurement platform, but R&B, GWSSB, and GUVNL also publish tenders through it under their own department codes. Central tenders located in Gujarat (CPWD, NHAI, port-related PSU works — Gujarat has significant port and petrochemical-sector tender volume) run through separate central or PSU-specific portals, not nProcure.

MSME (Udyam) Preference in Gujarat Tenders

Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) with valid Udyam registration are exempt from paying EMD on most Gujarat government tenders under GFR Rule 170 and the Public Procurement Policy for MSEs, 2012. Departments must also source at least 25% of annual procurement from MSEs, with sub-targets of 4% for SC/ST-owned and 3% for women-owned enterprises. The Udyam certificate must be submitted with the technical bid.

Read the tender notice in full — note the EMD amount, completion period, and registration class/category required.

Confirm eligibility — match your department registration class and turnover against the tender's minimum criteria.

Prepare the technical bid — registration certificate, experience certificates, EMD proof, and any additional documents the notice specifies.

Prepare the financial bid (BOQ) — priced bill of quantities in the tender's required format.

Submit through nProcure before the deadline, using your registered Digital Signature Certificate.

Frequently Asked Questions about Gujarat Tender Bidding

What is the nProcure portal, and is it specific to Gujarat?expand_more

nProcure (tender.nprocure.com) is an e-procurement platform run by (n)Code Solutions that Gujarat officially adopted as its state portal — the same underlying platform also services other state governments under separate instances, so "nprocure" alone isn't Gujarat-specific without selecting the right state instance.

How do I register for Gujarat government tenders?expand_more

Contractors must register with the relevant Gujarat department (such as R&B or GWSSB) for the appropriate class and category, separate from creating a login on the nProcure platform itself.

What is the difference between Gujarat state tenders and central or PSU tenders located in Gujarat?expand_more

State tenders are issued by Gujarat departments through nProcure, while central and PSU tenders — such as CPWD, NHAI, or port-authority works located in Gujarat — run through separate portals with different registration and eligibility systems.
