Where can I check the result or status of a Chandigarh tender I've bid on?

Tender results, including technical bid evaluation and financial bid opening, are published on the UT e-tender portal against the original tender or NIT number.

What's the difference between manual and e-tenders in Chandigarh?

Manual tenders require physical submission of bid documents to the issuing office, while e-tenders are submitted entirely online through the UT portal using a registered Digital Signature Certificate.

Can AI tell me whether I should bid on a Chandigarh tender or skip it?

Yes — Bidzen's AI Go/No-Go Decision scores a tender against your eligibility, past win history, and the resources required, with every input clause-cited back to the source document.

How can I check if I'm eligible for a specific Chandigarh tender before bidding?

Match your department registration class, category, and financial turnover against the tender's published eligibility criteria, or run the document through Bidzen's AI Eligibility Check for an instant, clause-cited compliance match.

Does Chandigarh have its own contractor enlistment separate from Punjab and Haryana?

Yes — Chandigarh, as a Union Territory, maintains its own department-level contractor enlistment, separate from the enlistment systems of Punjab and Haryana, even though it serves as the joint capital of both states.

Q: Are Micro and Small Enterprises exempt from EMD on Chandigarh tenders?

Chandigarh Government Tenders: e-Tender Portal Search & Eligibility Guide

Chandigarh (Union Territory) government tenders are published on the Chandigarh e-tender portal (etenders.chd.nic.in), alongside department-specific listings from the Chandigarh Engineering Department, Municipal Corporation Chandigarh, and the UT Electricity Department. Every tender Bidzen surfaces is pre-analyzed for eligibility, risk, and go/no-go fit — cited back to the exact clause it came from.

Search Live Chandigarh Tenders

Live Chandigarh tenders can be searched directly on Bidzen or on the UT's e-tender portal itself. Every result on Bidzen comes pre-tagged with eligibility, risk, and go/no-go status.

Not sure you qualify for a Chandigarh tender you're evaluating? Bidzen's AI Eligibility Check confirms in seconds — every match cited back to the exact clause in the tender document.

How Chandigarh Tenders Work

The Chandigarh e-tender portal is the UT's central e-procurement system, but the Engineering Department, Municipal Corporation, and Electricity Department also publish tenders through it under their own department codes. Central tenders located in Chandigarh (CPWD works are common here given the UT's administrative-hub status) run through a separate central portal, not the Chandigarh UT system — worth being explicit about since Chandigarh hosts a lot of central government offices.

MSME (Udyam) Preference in Chandigarh Tenders

Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) with valid Udyam registration are exempt from paying EMD on most Chandigarh UT tenders under GFR Rule 170 and the Public Procurement Policy for MSEs, 2012. Departments must also source at least 25% of annual procurement from MSEs, with sub-targets of 4% for SC/ST-owned and 3% for women-owned enterprises. The Udyam certificate must be submitted with the technical bid.

Confirm eligibility — match your department registration class and turnover against the tender's minimum criteria.

Prepare the technical bid — registration certificate, experience certificates, EMD proof, and any additional documents the notice specifies.

Prepare the financial bid (BOQ) — priced bill of quantities in the tender's required format.

Submit through the Chandigarh e-tender portal before the deadline, using your registered Digital Signature Certificate.
