Where can I check the result or status of an A&N tender I've bid on?

Tender results, including technical bid evaluation and financial bid opening, are published on the A&N e-tender portal against the original tender or NIT number.

What's the difference between manual and e-tenders in Andaman & Nicobar?

Manual tenders require physical submission of bid documents to the issuing office, while e-tenders are submitted entirely online through the UT portal using a registered Digital Signature Certificate.

Can AI tell me whether I should bid on an A&N tender or skip it?

Yes — Bidzen's AI Go/No-Go Decision scores a tender against your eligibility, past win history, and the resources required — including island-logistics feasibility — with every input clause-cited back to the source document.

How can I check if I'm eligible for a specific A&N tender before bidding?

Match your department registration class, category, and financial turnover against the tender's published eligibility criteria, or run the document through Bidzen's AI Eligibility Check for an instant, clause-cited compliance match.

Do Port Blair municipal and Panchayat tenders appear on the A&N portal too?

Yes — most Port Blair municipal and Panchayat tenders in the islands are published on the A&N e-tender portal under their respective department codes, alongside UT tenders.

How Andaman & Nicobar Tenders Work

The A&N e-procurement portal is the UT's central e-procurement system, but PWD, PHE, and the Electricity Department also publish tenders through it under their own department codes. Given the islands' remote geography, central tenders located in A&N (CPWD, port-authority, and defence-related works — the islands host a significant tri-services military presence) run through separate central portals, not the UT system, and logistics/mobilization considerations for island-based works are worth factoring into any bid evaluation.

MSME (Udyam) Preference in Andaman & Nicobar Tenders

Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) with valid Udyam registration are exempt from paying EMD on most A&N UT tenders under GFR Rule 170 and the Public Procurement Policy for MSEs, 2012. Departments must also source at least 25% of annual procurement from MSEs, with sub-targets of 4% for SC/ST-owned and 3% for women-owned enterprises. The Udyam certificate must be submitted with the technical bid.

Andaman & Nicobar Tender Process — Step by Step

Find the tender — search live A&N tenders on Bidzen, or check the UT e-tender portal directly by department or NIT number.

Read the tender notice in full — note the EMD amount, completion period, and registration class/category required.

Confirm eligibility — match your department registration class and turnover against the tender's minimum criteria.

Prepare the technical bid — registration certificate, experience certificates, EMD proof, and any additional documents the notice specifies.

Prepare the financial bid (BOQ) — priced bill of quantities in the tender's required format, factoring in island logistics where relevant to project cost.

Submit through the A&N e-tender portal before the deadline, using your registered Digital Signature Certificate.
